Understanding the nature of consciousness is vital to achieving spiritual freedom. Personal consciousness is shaped by experience and is affected by the consciousness of others. To understand this, look back to a time when you made decisions or adopted beliefs because you were influenced by the opinions of others and, in hindsight, you wished you had made a different decision. This is part of growth and learning and while you may regret that you hadn’t followed your own intuition, a valuable lesson was learned.

You live in a sea of consciousness and are deeply affected by its content. Until you learn to truly trust your own intuition you will be subject to taking on the beliefs of others as presented to you personally or collectively through your media and other sources. In developing your own intuition you discover the freedom of respecting the viewpoints of others, which may differ from your own, whilst maintaining the integrity of what you deeply feel without being attached to your opinions. To patiently keep an open mind is essential as this takes the emotional attachment to being right out of the equation and you can allow the passage of time to reveal the evidence you need to support your point of view or not.

As humans you are taught from birth to think and feel a certain way depending on familial and cultural conditioning, but the time must come when you think for yourselves, independent of what other influences have affected you. If you reflect back on the various reigns of terror that have taken place at different times in the history of your planet, you will see that those who came to power did so through the wholesale persuasion of those they wished to impose their power on. They were “sold” a belief system which some took on willingly while others felt powerless to prevent and felt they had no choice but to go along with the current thinking. This is always the way that those who crave power achieve their aims. But you will also note that these authoritarian systems do not last, because the fundamental need of the soul in human incarnation is the freedom to experience life fully.

Learning to say “no” to that which would enslave you, be it in a great or small way, is to claim your freedom and extend the same opportunity to others. Currently you live in a world that is becoming increasingly divided because each side in the current conflicts have put a lid on their consciousness and hardened their belief in being right. When this happens growth ceases, feelings harden and the heart and intuition become restricted. Thus conflict builds until it is expressed in some form of warfare. This is never desirable and can be avoided most effectively if both sides rise above the certainty of their beliefs and consider the viewpoint of the other side. In doing this personal consciousness becomes expanded and offers a bird’s eye view of the whole situation, and if all parties do this solutions can arise.

Infinite intelligence is just that – limitless. There is no end to what you can discover and achieve in your lifetime if you operate from that positive belief and work within the bounds of your personal integrity in a realistic fashion. Your life is very much an outpicturing of your individual belief systems, many of which remain in the subconscious part of the mind until brought into full awareness. If you feel stuck in a situation and don’t know which way to turn, don’t be afraid to ask. Universal intelligence is available to everyone and it may be that another person might just have the right key to unlock that door in your life that seems locked and bolted. All humans are connected to universal oneness and most humans want the same thing, which is to experience ever more fully their own perfection.

Intelligence is energy, and mastery of energy requires total surrender to infinite intelligence. To master anything you must relinquish all attachment to it, and that starts with beliefs and opinions. The act of surrender puts you in a free space where infinite intelligence can prevail and intuition can rise and expand. It is through intuition that you hear the guidance that it unfailingly gives.

It is your beliefs that create your experience and surrendering these opens the way for a more expanded and creative approach to life.

The collective, universal impulse yearns to know itself in human form and expresses this as a yearning to know the Divine. The essence of who you are is already that, and is perfect.
